Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory

Went to a concert last night. Great music, followed the typical confused Russian reaction: is the concert over? Half the people grabbed their coats and left, the remainder remained in their seats. From what we could discern in the program, 3 short pieces were scheduled. 3 short pieces were played, followed by an encore. So, we left...

Afterwards, found a basement restaurant with a name that has no English translation, and it turned out to be one of the coziest and best places we ate in all of Russia.

Finished with a stroll through Red Square as the weather was cold and crisp, clear skies, no wind.
