0 to 300 KPH in 2 minutes

Rode the Maglev train in Shanghai today.

It is the first commercially operated high-speed magnetic levitation train in the world and also the fastest train in the world.

The train rides above a single rail and essentially floats above a giant magnet. You can feel the slight wavering movement on the train while it levitates. Curves are crazy, a slight G-force feeling.

Speeds are insane. 0 to 300 KPH (about 187 MPH) in 2 minutes.
