Leg 3 highlights

Random highlights from leg 3:

--train travel from London to Harwich was simple, ferry port is directly connected to the train station in Harwich;

--Harwich ferry port was a hilarious spectacle of urban decay: a poster proudly proclaimed that the Mayflower left from here thereby establishing Harwich as a good place to leave, we witnessed a gang of 3 street rats dressed in pink wife beaters steal an equal number of Sprites from the port cafe that was run by a cranky old Russian and then we witnessed them dig for pocket change to pay the ferry toll (we don't make this stuff up);

--DFDS ferry was clean and comfortable with decent TV (watched the US Open) and decent wi-fi, seas were a bit rough but not really noticeable, ferry arrived in time;

--arduous 3 part relay from Esbjerg to Hjorring went by without a hitch with all trains and buses on time.

--Hjorring is a quaint small town, deserted except for a few restaurants and a party in the town square complete with a stage and DJ and 25 people dancing, fortunately, hotel is 100 yards from train station.

On to the Faroes...
